“You don’t have to control your thoughts. You just have to stop letting them control you.” -Dan Millman
We can’t choose the way we think, but that doesn’t mean we should feel guilty about this. We forget that as a person we can still communicate with ourselves and self-reflect on what we want from life. This gives us clarity in our thoughts. Every day you will have thousands of thoughts all jumbling around in your head. What matters most is which thoughts you give attention and power to. By redefining your perspective and opening your POV, you are able to take control of your thoughts. A great book called “The Four Agreements” by Don Miguel Ruiz changed my perspective on how to live without being “poisoned” by other people’s opinions of me. His book is a great short read to check out if you are wondering how to stop letting your thoughts control you.
